4 So5620 that we ourselves846 glory2744 in you in the churches1577 of God2316 for your5216 patience5281 and faith4102 in all3956 your5216 persecutions1375 and tribulations2347 that you endure:430

5 Which is a manifest token1730 of the righteous1342 judgment2920 of God,2316 that you may be counted2661 worthy2661 of the kingdom932 of God,2316 for which3739 you also2532 suffer:

6 Seeing1512 it is a righteous1342 thing with God2316 to recompense467 tribulation2347 to them that trouble2346 you;

7 And to you who are troubled2346 rest425 with us, when1722 3739 the Lord2962 Jesus2424 shall be revealed602 from heaven3772 with his mighty1411 angels,32

8 In flaming5395 fire4442 taking1325 vengeance1557 on them that know1492 not God,2316 and that obey5219 not the gospel2098 of our Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ:5547

9 Who3748 shall be punished1349 5099 with everlasting166 destruction3639 from the presence4383 of the Lord,2962 and from the glory1391 of his power;2479

10 When3752 he shall come2064 to be glorified1740 in his saints,40 and to be admired2296 in all3956 them that believe4100 (because3754 our testimony3142 among1909 you was believed)4100 in that day.2250

11 Why1519 3739 also2532 we pray4336 always3842 for you, that our God2316 would count515 you worthy515 of this3588 calling,2821 and fulfill4137 all3956 the good pleasure2107 of his goodness,19 and the work2041 of faith4102 with power:1411

12 That the name3686 of our Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ5547 may be glorified1740 in you, and you in him, according2596 to the grace5485 of our God2316 and the Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ.5547

帖撒羅尼迦後書

第1章

1 保羅、西拉、提摩太寫信給帖撒羅尼迦在神我們的父與主耶穌基督裏的教會。

2 願恩典［Grace］、平安從神我們的父［God our Father］和主耶穌基督歸與你們。

3 弟兄們，我們該為你們常常感謝神，這本是合宜的；因你們的信心格外增長，並且你們眾人彼此相愛的心也都充足。

4 甚至我們在神的各教會裏以你們為榮［glory in you］、都因你們在所受的一切逼迫患難中、仍舊存忍耐和信心。

5 這正是神公義判斷的明證，叫你們可算配得神的國；你們就是為這國受苦。

6 神既是公義的，就必將患難報應那加患難給你們的人；

7 也必使你們這受患難的人，與我們同得平安。那時，主耶穌同他有能力的天使從天上顯現［revealed from heaven with his mighty angels］，

8 要以火焰［In flaming fire］報應那不認識神，和那不聽從我們［our］主耶穌基督［Christ］福音的人。

9 他們要受刑罰，就是永遠滅亡［destruction］，離開主的面和他權能的榮光。

10 這正是主降臨、要在他聖徒的身上得榮耀，又在一切信的人身上顯為希奇的那日子。（我們對你們作的見證，你們也信了。）

11 因此，我們常為你們禱告，願我們的神看你們配得過所蒙的召，又用大能成就你們一切所羨慕的良善和一切因信心所作的工作［work］；

12 叫我們主耶穌基督［Christ］的名在你們身上得榮耀，你們也在他身上得榮耀，都照著我們的神並主耶穌基督的恩。
